An award-winning 1994 graduate of the CCNM in Toronto, Terry Vanderheyden, ND, RH, is a board licensed ND in Ontario. Besides having a general family practice, Terry acts as a research, development, and regulatory consultant for St. Francis Herb Farm, Inc, in Combermere, Ontario, as well as being a regulatory consultant to the CFHFA. He has done post-graduate training in botanical medicine and is a Registered Herbalist with the Ontario Herbalists Association. Terry has initiated several research collaborations, partnering with the U of Ottawa (collaboration on metabolomics analysis of botanical medicines); the UBC’s Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, with whom he co-authored a paper examining botanical intervention in a mouse model of prostate cancer (findings presented by him at OncANP in San Diego in 2019); and the University of Alberta (rhodiola rosea extraction). He is also a contributor to several publications including the Integrated Healthcare Practitioner magazine and is a past peer review board member of that same publication.
